NYC BOE Awards BASCOM's Global Chalkboard a Professional Development Contract for Academic Intervention Services
Hauppauge, New York - March 28, 2006—BASCOM Global Internet Services, Inc., a leading software development company specializing in Internet curriculum solutions for K-12 schools, today proudly announces it was one of a select group of vendors awarded with a Professional Development contract from the Board of Education of the City of New York for its Global Chalkboard. Meeting the criteria stipulated by the Board of Education for delivering Academic Intervention Services while in the general classroom, the Global Chalkboard proved to be an outstanding Professional Development solution for schools. Using the Lesson Creator to build Web-enriched lessons, teachers can deliver a lesson to their students while also modifying the lesson for a struggling student. Isolation Reduction is achieved since at-risk students through the use of the Global Chalkboard can now receive modified instruction while in the general classroom.
The Global Chalkboard also comes preloaded with BASCOM Lessons to make teachers immediately productive. Many of these prepackaged lessons come with a matching, modified lesson to assist teachers and AIS specialists in delivering instruction to at-risk students.
