Punched Up Protection Using Login Restrictions
For even more security, now when you're creating a lesson, you can restrict it to specific workstations, ranges, groups or objects using the Login Restrictions option on the Add Lesson screen. This makes it a cinch to target lessons to appropriate grades or restrict lessons to School Administrators only.

Extra Protection by Blocking HTTPS Traffic
Also for increased protection, now there's a new option—Allow HTTPS—found on the Add Lesson screen. This offers you another method of restricting access to certain types of sites.

Automatic Archiving of Log Files for Easier Auditing
We've now made it easier for you to analyze Internet access activity. The new Automated Log Transfers option in Global Settings enables you to archive log data for auditing purposes. The archiving occurs automatically each night. If there's a problem with archiving the data, an email message is sent to an email account you specified (using the new Email Settings option in Global Settings) alerting you of the problem.

Remote Access for Anytime, Anywhere Global Chalkboard Administration
In Network Settings, there's a new Remote Administration option that gives you the ability to access the Global Chalkboard anywhere, anytime. Now you have the flexibility of managing the Global Chalkboard from any location.

Firewall Traffic Logs for Monitoring Traffic in Both Directions
From the Add Firewall screen, you can now enable the Log option to record all network access requests for a firewall rule from either inside or outside of your network.

Enhancements in DHCP Options for Easily Managing Leases
For those networks using the Global Chalkboard as a DHCP server, there is now the ability to define which IP addresses have been defined as leases and when they expire in the DHCP Server option in Network Settings. Leases can also be monitored and deleted for temporary use using the new Active DHCP Leases option in Troubleshooting.

Improved Searching for Workstations/Ranges & Categories
A new search box on the Workstations and Ranges screen enables you to immediately locate a workstation or range. Also, we've improved our category search so that you can easily find the correct category for a specific URL.

For detailed information on any of these new features click on the HELP button in the upper, right-hand corner. This immediately launches you into a dynamic HELP system.
