With new functionality found on the Add Workstation screen, security is improved while maintaining flexibility.

Tightened Security with Custom Control!
To personalize protection, the "Allow login.bascom.net to override workstation setting" option has been added. This enables you to determine whether or not your school/organization can use both the Set and Login methods simultaneously. If a workstation has a lesson set to it, you decide whether or not you want to allow that lesson to be changed using the Login method. It's up to you.

The Global Chalkboard Surpasses Filtering Competitors in Flexibility!
The Global Chalkboard is now an industry leader in filtering flexibility. With the new 'Use Proxy Authentication' option, those schools/organizations using either Microsoft Terminal Services™ or Citrix® can have filtering that's unique for each connected terminal.

By enabling this setting, the Global Chalkboard has the ability to communicate with each individual terminal. Once the setting is enabled, a user will see a dialog box when opening a browser. This prompts the user for a Lesson Name and Password. As long as the browser remains open, the user will have access to this lesson. When the browser is closed, the terminal is logged out of that lesson.

The end result, the Global Chalkboard leads the industry by offering customized filtering for each terminal that uses Microsoft Terminal Services™ or Citrix®.
