Software Developer
BASCOM, a leading developer of network security and Internet-based educational software solutions, is currently seeking a full time software developer to work in our Hauppauge, NY office.

As a member of our development team, you will be involved in the complete development process of BASCOM's products. This includes designing, coding, enhancing, and maintaining our software for network server and cloud-based deployments as well as production release management, and interfacing with our QA team.

Responsibilities include:
• Project definition, design, and scheduling using Agile development methods
• Designing and coding web-based database applications
• Enhancements to existing product offerings
• Maintenance of existing codebase

Requirements
You must have experience building scalable web-based applications in a production environment utilizing the LAMP stack with an emphasis on PHP.

• Experience required in PHP, MySQL, AJAX
• Experience desired in C/C++, Perl, Linux
