riteria to meet your requirements by selecting an Access Zone. Have a variety of library Internet access needs? Then, multiple profiles can be created using different Access Zones.
Unfiltered Zone (No sites blocked - adults only)
This zone offers full and unrestricted library Internet access—satisfying CIPA's requirement that the library filter can be turned off for those patrons who request it. With the flip of a switch, you decide where and when selected patrons have access to the entire Internet.Filtered Zone (Filtered Internet Access)
This is the default option that provides access to the entire Internet except for those categories librarians choose to block. It can be used for independent research and configured to provide access to all content except pornography.Kids Zone (Portal of educational sites)
This zone keeps children within an "allowed community" of Web sites for a focused, online experience. Sites in this zone are accessed through an educator-approved portal - the Kids Zone Web Library.Resource Zone (Site Selection)
This zone is the most restrictive. A computer can be limited to an individual Web site or a small group of sites. For example, a computer can be set to only access a subscription service and not used for general browsing, or it can be focused to specific sites for children.

You can immediately filter access by establishing one profile and setting it as the default. Or, multiple profiles can be defined and set to an individual workstation or a group of workstations. Instant Override
Patronus provides filtering that’s unobtrusive, yet accurate. Using an instant override screen, a librarian can quickly open access by logging into a profile with unrestricted access for a specified time period. When the patron is finished with their session or the time period expires, the filter settings for that workstation are restored.With Patronus for libraries, blocking is minimized and unblocking is easy and quick. Librarians now have the CIPA compliant tool they need, but they decide when open access is appropriate.
Acceptable Use Policy
With the Acceptable Use Policy screen, you can create a WiFi hotspot for your patrons. Now, anyone that enters your library with their laptops will be required to read and agree to your Internet policies before getting online access.Patronus delivers this built-in splash page feature to save you time, aggravation, and money. With the Acceptable Use Policy screen you can easily create a WiFi authentication and control solution for your patrons without having to purchase, install, configure and maintain additional third party software.
