BASCOM Lessons
BASCOM lessons are prepackaged, online learning activities created by our in-house Education Specialists. These interactive Web activities provide focused learning by guiding students to only those sites needed to perform their lesson. This enables a teacher to manage their classroom while also using the Internet to teach.
Each BASCOM lesson is cross-curricular; while performing the Web-enabled activity, a student is acquiring skills in multiple disciplines. By using these online lessons to teach a topic, your students become active learners that are eager partners in the educational process; a win/win situation for everyone.
Viewing Lesson Plans for BASCOM Lessons at teachers.bascom.com
From BASCOM's Faculty Room educators can view lesson plans for BASCOM lessons. These lesson plans can be accessed while in school or at home. They outline specific information about the BASCOM lesson and the settings made while using the Global Chalkboard to create the lesson. They are lesson plans a teacher can use to prepare their online curriculum while they are at home, however they are NOT the actual lesson. To access the actual BASCOM lesson, a teacher must use a computer while in a school that has the Global Chalkboard.
BASCOM shares a mutual goal with teachers: to help children learn. To accomplish this objective BASCOM developed the Faculty Room for teachers as a free anytime, anywhere learning resource.
