Lesson Creator

The Lesson Creator is an online curriculum tool that's built into the Global Chalkboard. Upon logging into the Global Chalkboard from a school, teachers are immediately directed to the Lesson Creator where they can create, copy or modify lessons for their students. From the Lesson Creator, teachers also have immediate access to preloaded BASCOM lessons developed by our in-house Education Specialists — all certified teachers with K-12 classroom experience. Organized by subject and grade level, BASCOM lessons are easy to use and satisfy a variety of curriculum requirements.

Within the Lesson Creator, a teacher can easily use BASCOM lessons to be instantly productive or they can copy and modify one of these prepackaged lessons for their specific needs. A gold star next to the Lesson Name indicates a BASCOM lesson which comes preloaded with the system.

By clicking on the Add Lesson button in the Lesson Creator a more experienced Global Chalkboard user can build new, online lessons that include instructions and Web sites for accessing learning resources. When students perform the online lesson at their computer, they read the instructions entered by the teacher and are guided to the Web sites needed to perform the activity. The page the student views on their computer to begin a lesson is the Student Start Page. This page can appear in a variety of formats. Depending upon the age of the students, a teacher selects the appropriate format for the lesson.
