VIRTUAL ADMINISTRATOR
What's in the Virtual Administrator?
The Virtual Administrator was designed in response to the way schools are comfortable operating. Its suite of features was engineered to ensure that your implementation of the Internet is worry-free. The Virtual Administrator consists of the following elements:
Automatic technology upgradeswith the constant activity and sometimes frantic environment of our K-12 schools and community-based organizations, anything that keeps students focused on learning — rather than the technology — is a welcomed feature.
To ensure that your Global Chalkboard has the latest technological innovations as they're developed, the Virtual Administrator furnishes automatic technology upgrades. Keep in mind that since the Global Chalkboard is server-based and in regular communication with our Network Center via a secure channel, it's a natural consequence that new features are immediately available on your system as they're developed.
There's nothing to do, nothing to configure, and nothing to load. We do the work; you immediately enjoy the benefits.
Remote back-up of configuration filesThe last thing that a technical staff should worry about is backing-up their configurations and teacher-created lessons, yet it's inevitable with any software. We've taken care of that, too...
The Virtual Administrator provides automatic, remote back-up of all Global Chalkboard-related configuration files. Your Allowed Lists, group management settings, and configurations are safe and secure. And you don't need to do a thing.
The benefit? Technical coordinators and network administrators don't have to back-up the Global Chalkboard to tape, avoiding a cumbersome and time-consuming process.
Curriculum directors, department chairs, and teachers can be assured that their saved lessons and classroom configurations are secure. It takes the burden off of our schools, and that saves time and effort. Plus, it's one less thing to worry about.
Why Do We Do These Things?
From the very beginning, our idea of providing a solution to schools included enriching their environment, without disturbing the way that educators operate. We developed the Virtual Administrator for one reason: to keep the intent of Internet access focused on providing educational value for the benefits of our students. It provides peace of mind. We like the idea that our schools find this assurance comforting; it means they can focus on our children.
